Cody McCamish breaks goal scoring record
Firstly Cody broke the record for the numbers of goals scored in one season with 23. The original record was held by Matt Smith with 20 back in 1996.
Secondly, in his senior year, Cody became the all-time leading goal scorer in the history of the Tattnall Soccer Program with 43 goals. This is taking into account his time playing on the varsity team from 2006-09. The record was previously held by Hiroki Takahira with 35 goals in his career as a Tattnall Varsity player from 1992-95.

SENIOR NIGHT - V CFCA Tuesday, October 6th 7pm
On senior night we have a tradition in which ALL b-team and varsity players make a tunnel for the seniors to walk through as they are being introduced. The players stand in order of grade starting with 6th grade all the way to 11th grade. The symbolism of this is that each year older the players get, they get to see themselves move further toward the end of the tunnel until finally they become a senior and it is there turn to walk through the tunnel.
**Thus all b-team players are required to stay for the varsity game until after introductions have been made**
**All senior parents are asked to dress in what you feel appropriate and be in place at the half way line in front of the hill/bleachers with 5 minutes left on the clock on the scoreboard**
REMINDER - B-team game V FPD (Thursday, October 8th @ 4:30pm)
The varsity will still play @ FPD on Tuesday, October 13th 7pm.

With the current 2009 GISA soccer season underway, the current Tattnall team has had a steady start to the season and is currently 6-2. They will be looking to continue on as they begin region play over the next few weeks, and would love to have the support of the Alumni throughout the course of the season. So please find a schedule attached and you will be welcome at any games this year.
For those planning on attending this years Alumni game, please plan on arriving early to allow for some organization. We will plan on taking pictures and giving out uniforms before the game and so would like all Alumni to arrive @ 3.15 ready for a 4pm kick-off. Girls end of season banquet - Thursday, May 21st
The girls end of season soccer banquet is scheduled for Thursday, May 21st @ 6pm. With the many formalities that the end of school year brings with so many banquets, ceremonies, etc, we have decided to make it more informal. The banquet will be held on the soccer field and we will celebrate the season with a "cookout"/"coverdish" style dinner & atmosphere. Nina Damron will be co-ordinating with class reps as to what people need to bring. We will have dinner, activities and an awards ceremony.
Plan on dressing casual, bringing your favorite dish, and comfortable chairs!!
We look forward to ending this season and school year with fun and fellowship!!

Ryan Brose wins US Youth Soccer Save of the year
US Youth Soccer Goal and Save of the Year Announced
Virginia's Marcus Curaca and Georgia's Ryan Brose honored at Awards Gala
See the videos [Goal] [Save]
SAN JOSE, Calif. (March 6, 2009) - The recipients of the 2008 US Youth Soccer Goal and Save of the Year were announced tonight at the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala, held in conjunction with the 2009 US Youth Soccer adidas Workshop at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif. The Goal of the Year was awarded to Marcus Curaca of Arlington, Va. and the Save of the Year was awarded to Ryan Brose of Macon, Ga.
Hilary Kennedy, host of The US Youth Soccer Show on Fox Soccer Channel, set the stage for the night as the master of ceremonies for the more than 1,000 in attendance. Recreation and Competitive Coach of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Male and Female Young Referee of the Year and the Dr. Thomas Fleck Award were also presented during the Gala and the US Youth Soccer Hall of Fame inductees were honored as well.
Marcus Curaca, of Arlington, Va., netted his Goal of the Year while playing with his travel team, Venom, in the 2008 Jefferson Cup in Richmond, Va. The score was 0:0, only a few minutes remained in the game and the team needed a win to get ahead in the tournament. Though he had never done it in a game, or practiced it for that matter, Curaca scored the game-winning goal with a bicycle kick. For Curaca, the goal was personally fulfilling, but most of all, he was proud of his teammates because they always work hard and play together as a true team. Soccer is both a passion and hobby for him and through it, he has learned about the rewards of hard work and team commitment while striving to have fun and compete at a high level.
Ryan Brose, of Macon, Ga., had just turned 15 years old and moved up an age group to play with Concorde Fire Under-17 Boys in a preseason tournament when he made the Save of the Year. Not only was the save essential to keeping the team alive in the tournament, but as a young member of the team, saves like his gave the new team full confidence in Brose's abilities. Brose loves every aspect of the game, from playing and practicing to helping young keepers improve on their skills. He started playing at age four and hopes to always have soccer in his life.
""Winning Save of the Year is a great honor especially since all of the other saves were so great. It is something I will remember for the rest of my life. I think it is also be a great honor for my team, coaches and soccer in Georgia as well,"" said Brose, US Youth Soccer's national Save of the Year award winner.
