The JV teams got off to a positive start this weekend playing against Stratford and Mount De Sales. With the new format of 8v8 and an emphasis on player development, I thought there where some good things I noticed...
- Fewer players on the field allowed each player to be more involved and receive more touches on the ball.
- The smaller field meant more of the game was played in good areas of the field...mostly in and around the goal area. This tested players decision making both attacking and defending.
- A lot more goals where scored.
